Admission Policy

 The Department of Nutritional Sciences aims to train registered dietitians who can be leaders in governmental organizations, medical and welfare facilities and educational institutions. Therefore, we accept students who aspire not only to contribute to the improvement of human health and quality of life, but also to become specialists of nutritional administration and education.

Educational Goals

1) The Department of Nutritional Sciences, in addition to preparing students for the advanced medical care practice of food management for patients, also seeks to educate graduates who are able to provide clinical nutritional guidance and to carry out the research and development necessary for dietetic treatment of patients with particular diseases.

2) The Department of Nutritional Sciences aims to furnish graduates with the ability to contribute to the improvement of health and quality of life in their communities and workplaces through promotion of nutritional improvement and participation in programs of nutritional assessment.

3) The Department of Nutritional Sciences strives to promote an understanding of local and community life that enables graduates to develop dietary and nutritional support plans for infants, people requiring nursing care and elderly people living alone.

4) The Department of Nutritional Sciences endeavors to educate dieticians who can not only teach primary and elementary school students about food and diet, but can also contribute to the improvement of dietary habits by enlightening parents and guardians about the importance of healthy eating.

5) The Department of Nutritional Sciences aspires to educate dieticians who understand the concepts of public health, medical care and welfare as well as the significance of collaboration and cooperation between these fields, and who can participate effectively as members of such occupational teams.
