The Department of Childhood Care and Education

Admission Policy

The Department of Social Childhood Care and Education welcomes students who seek to learn about child-rearing within the wider social and environmental contexts that surround children, and who demonstrate problem-solving abilities and a willingness to engage actively and independently with their studies. 

Educational Goals

1) The Department of Social Childhood Care and Education seeks to train skilled professionals who understand a diverse range of children and can provide support to children raised in a variety of difficult circumstances. 

2) The Department of Social Childhood Care and Education aims to cultivate professionals with strong leadership skills who can address issues concerning child-rearing and children’s rights from a social (societal) perspective and take concrete steps towards resolving them. 

3) The Department of Social Childhood Care and Education seeks to foster thoughtful and compassionate professionals who can engage with children robustly and flexibly. 

4) The Department of Social Childhood Care and Education endeavors to educate professionals with the communication skills needed to provide support to children and families and the ability to build relations with others. 

5) The Department of Social Childhood Care and Education aspires to train professionals who can work collaboratively with local agencies and facilities concerned with children and in partnership with professionals from related fields.
